In this tutorial series we’re going to be making a master study after Michelangelo’s unfinished Young Slave sculpture. The sculpture will be a small scale maquette and we’ll be working in oil-based clay, carefully following the reference left to us by Michelangelo and his sculpture of the Young Slave, originally intended for the tomb of Pope Julius II.
